Our world is in disarray. People are fearful and who knows what tomorrow holds? God knows! When God identified Himself to Moses as I AM, He meant for Moses – and us – to understand that I AM is past tense – present tense – and future tense. Eight times in the New Testament Jesus identified Himself as I AM (all sufficient One). John, writing while on Patmos, heard the Lord say, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” So yes, God knows!

Sadly, across history the study of prophecy has been battered by preachers and teachers who discount the literal interpretation of prophecy in exchange for prophecy that is nonliteral and allegorical, and thus exposed to the whims of the interpreter.

Jude 21 prompts us to “Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.”

Threats are everywhere – nuclear, economic, technological, moral, political, biological, environmental, and as we have just experienced, viral threats – which hit us with each sound bite of breaking news. We seem to be rapidly traveling toward the terminal station of history and time as we know it. God is not keeping secrets about the last days and the end of time. Together we will confirm what God has, and is, revealing to His people in these last days.

Prevailing prayer shakes heaven and earth. The first eleven chapters of 1 Chronicles may be the most boring section in the Bible. Yet, sitting right in the midst of all those hundreds of names sits the record of one of the most profound statements about prayer in all the Bible. There we find seven principles of praying in such a way that heaven and earth move.

Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, “I gave birth to him in pain.” Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory!
